Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. In the year 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. He released his debut long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. On the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached No. 8. Vaina Loca, one of the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007 was the album that brought him into Ozuna. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel for Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina the next year. In 2021, he performed as a duo TINI for her viral stream track Maldita Foto. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, which included the hit single La Bachata. Turizo came from a musical household both his parents are musicians. According to him, music was a mandatory part of his life. When he was young, he taught to perform on the guitar, piano and the ukulele. Despite initially wanting to work as a vet, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban singing teacher would change the direction of his profession.
