Ana Gonzales bio

As a child, she was inspired by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the classic romantic, ranchero, and romance ballads. Ana loves Tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. Her mother teaches her how to sing, but she started intensive vocal training with Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera Tenor. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a student, and being a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups as well as choruses. When she moved to the United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current residence in southern California. She is a frequent soloist for private events and parties, performing traditional Latin American Music. In addition to being an instructor and performer in the local area and instructor, her passion for arts and music keeps her active in a variety of initiatives. Ana has been a participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing the traditional Latin American songs and hopes to encourage other people to follow in her footsteps.
