Rosalia Vila is also referred to as Rosalia Rosaly, is the Spanish singer from flamenco. Since she was a teen she was involved with traditional as well as popular music. But, her musical interests have expanded to include hip-hop and soul. The flamenco guitar player Pepe habichuela described her voice as sweet and sharp, but still having the grit of more mature singers. El Mal Querer was her major commercial and critical breakthrough in 2018. The single Los Angeles garnered her attention and a Latin Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist and it was a top hit on the Billboard charts of Latin Pop Albums and she won an Grammy. In 2021, the track La Fama with The Weeknd came out. Motomami is her third studio album. She collaborated with many performers and musicians including Cory Henry. The album was released in on March 20, 2022 following the Saturday Night Live performance featuring the hit song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish artist to perform as a solo performer on the show. Motomami's Rosalia, who won The Latin Album of the Year and 3 Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami was also the first woman to do so.
